We know that time can be just as valuable as money to charities and community groups, which is why we are as committed to our volunteering activities as we are to our grant giving schemes
So as part of our Actionteering programme every member of staff is encouraged to use two days paid leave each year to work on voluntary or charitable activities in their local communities
Teams from all parts of the Group have completed activities including: building outdoor classrooms, and nature trails at local primary schools, created sensory gardens for sight impaired children, and redecorated/rejuvenated community centres.
Staff can also use their business skills by becoming student or business mentors or helping social enterprises set up. Reading and number partner activities are undertaken by staff at local schools.
