The Charitable Foundation held a Make a Difference Week 2007, which invited customers, the general public and members of staff to nominate local good causes to receive support.
As the Foundation is largely funded by Society members who participate in the innovative Small Change Big Difference Scheme, we found that Foundation Day was an ideal way in which the Society's members could be involved in helping the Trustees decide which charities to support.
More than 770 local good causes and charities were nominated and subsequently benefited from a donation. The total amount donated was over £43,000.
A donation provides more toys and games for SHARE's Saturday Fun Club where children aged 4-12 years old with special needs can join in activities to enhance their social and learning skills and HAVE FUN!
