Make a difference week 2007
The Charitable Foundation holds an annual Foundation Day which invites customers, the general public and members of staff to nominate local good causes to receive support. This year more than 770 local good causes and charities were nominated and subsequently benefited from a donation. The total amount donated was over £43,000. More

The 2006 Christmas Appeal raised £90,000 to help CLIC Sargent - The UK's leading cancer support charity for children, young people and their families. More
Other charities
Other Charities who have received our help include Healthy Roots Project - Middlefield Community Gardens Play Area - a charity supporting children based in the Middlefield of Aberdeen, and Pimhole Community Farm. More
The Foundation's trustees and the Society's branches want to help the good causes you think are important. If you know any particular cause or charity in your area that you think we should consider for support, let your local branch know. They have all the guidelines and should be able to advise if the trustees may be in a position to help. They do have limited funds and unfortunately, they won't be able to help everyone but they will be extremely grateful for your recommendations and do all they can to help.
