What does the Yorkshire Building Society Budget Planner do?
A simple way to help you manage your money
The planner enables you to track your income and expenditure against budgets that you set, using clear, easy-to-read fields and graphics.

Easily configured |
- Enter your own income and expenditure headings and amend or update these at any time
- Allocate budget amounts for each of the expenditure items, together with dates for when they should be deducted
- Set whether the budget/spend is monthly, a one-off or whether the amount should be spread over the month
- Select the date on which your month starts, e.g. if you are paid on 15th of each month, you can easily configure the Planner to run from 15th of each month to 14th of the next
- Choose whether to start each month with a zero balance or to carry over the amounts from the previous month

Easy analysis |
- The My Money screen provides:
- A summary snapshot of each month's income and expenditure as well as progress against the budget
- Details of expenditure items, budget allocated and spend against budget, both as figures and graphically
- A running balance line graph for the month showing tracking income against spending
- The ability to update/amend the budget and income/outgoing amounts as required
- The analysis screen shows:
- Colour coded pie-charts for income and spending, with a key so that all items can be easily identified
- A running balance line graph fro the month showing tracking income against spending

Easy assistance |
- A print button ensures that the details can be easily printed and retained
- A help button provides assistance on how to use the planner. In addition, help icons within the planner screens will give contextual support
- Details for each month are saved with the user able to scroll backwards and forwards between months
