Society ranked as one of the UK's best workplaces

Yorkshire Building Society Group has been named as one of the best places to work in the UK by a global research organisation.
The mutual was ranked as the 28th best large business by the consultancy Great Place to Work in its annual assessment of trust and engagement in workplaces across a variety of sectors.
It is the first time the Group has taken part in the assessment, which features some of the UK’s most well-known brands.

The ranking comprises an employee survey and an audit of an organisation’s management and HR practices. The award recognises the strength of leadership and the range of innovative, creative and effective HR policies which create a successful workplace culture.
In the survey, 90% of Group colleagues said that they felt good about the ways Yorkshire Building Society Group contributes to the community through its Society Matters corporate responsibility programme.
The Group has developed a recognition framework that includes a group-wide awards programme to celebrate colleagues who are true ambassadors of our values.
The Group also recently launched a new scheme which included significant improvements to its Maternity, Paternity, Adoption and flexible working policies.
