Expert advice

With Fresh Start you will gain access to a range of expert advice to help you with some of the non-financial aspects of your situation.

Referral to a specialist legal adviser

If you are getting divorced, have children or simply have joint assets and obligations that need to be separated, you'll need some legal advice in addition to that involved in buying your home.

We can provide contact details for a local Family Law practitioner belonging to the specialist lawyers' association, Resolution.  If you take one of our mortgages with cashback, you could use this money to help meet your legal costs.

Access to professional counselling

Take a Fresh Start mortgage and we'll give you a voucher providing access to a professional advice service from an independent firm of counsellors.

You?ll get access to the following optional services:

  • Specialist literature, a designated website and a telephone helpline, through which you can get advice and information on a range of related topics.
  • Three face-to-face sessions about relationship breakdown with a qualified counsellor who will help you work through your feelings and any problems you face.

These services are completely independent and confidential.  Please note, terms and conditions do apply.
