Opening an account

The minimum opening balance is £100, and you must have at least £25 in your account at all times. Savers aged under 18 can open an account with only £1.

Online Services

You have the option to manage your account online. For example, you can check your balance, transfer money to another account or view your tax and interest rate details. To take advantage of this facility, you will need to register for online services once you have opened the account.

Withdrawing money

To encourage you to save and to enable us to offer more attractive Rates of interest, you can make only one withdrawal each calendar month from any of our branches. No notice is required for cash withdrawals up to £1,000 and cheque withdrawals up to £150,000. Amounts over this may require a few days' notice. If it is more convenient for you to use one of our local Agencies rather than a branch, you can withdraw up to £250 or £500 in cash (depending on the type of Agency) or up to £10,000 by cheque. Again, amounts above this may require a few days' notice.
