Cash Transactor is for those who make lots of deposits or withdrawals, or who want to be able to pay regular bills, really more like a bank account than a savings account.
Key features:
Opening your account
You can start Cash Transactor with £100 and your balance can be reduced to zero later. Interest is paid on your savings on 31st March each year.
Paying regular bills
With Cash Transactor you can also pay your regular bills by direct debit or standing order. These are very simple to set up - just fill in the form provided by the organisation which will be receiving your payment - and we'll take care of the rest.
To use the Direct debit and standing order services, you'll need to choose to have a LINK ATM card rather than a passbook to manage your account.
Withdrawing money
If you choose an ATM card you will be able to withdraw up to £250 per day from any cash machine displaying the LINK logo. There are over 40,000 LINK cash point machines in the country. You can of course withdraw money at any of the Society's branches, with instant access to cash up to £1,000 and withdrawals by cheque up to £150,000. Amounts above this may require a few day's notice
Online services
You have the option to manage your account online. For example, you can check your balance, transfer money to another account or view your tax and interest rate details. Find out more about what you can do online or take a look at our online savings demo . To take advantage of this facility, you will need to register for online services once you have opened the account.
Checking your balance
If you choose the LINK card option you can check how much is in your account at any machine displaying the LINK logo. In addition, our own ATMs allow you to order statements or receive mini-statements showing your last five transactions. All transactions will normally appear on your account immediately.
Regular statements
We'll send you a statement at least quarterly if you have used your LINK card.
Paying money in
Deposits can be made over the counter at any of the Society's branch or agency offices, or alternatively at one of our cash machines if you choose the LINK card option.
It is also possible to arrange to have your salary paid direct into your Cash Transactor account, or set up a regular transfer from another account.
