The minimum investment amount allowed in the Yorkshire Building Society Savings Bond is £1,000 (maximum £500,000).
The minimum investment amount allowed in a Legal & General Investment Bond is £5,000.
Therefore, the overall combined minimum investment is £6,000. As at least 50% of your total investment in the Investment Planning Bond must be in the L&G Investment Bond, if you invest more than £5,000 in the Yorkshire Building Society Savings Bond, you must invest at least the same amount in a Legal & General Investment Bond.
After the initial deposit, no further deposits will be allowed in the Yorkshire Building Society Savings Bond.
One withdrawal allowed during the term from the Yorkshire Building Society Savings Bond, including closure, without notice or charge. Once a withdrawal has been made, no further withdrawals or closure will be permitted prior to maturity.

The Investment Planning Bond (issue 25a) matures on 31 July 2009. We will write to you approximately 3 weeks before maturity to tell you about other savings options. From 1 August 2009 your savings will be transferred to a standard Yorkshire Building Society instant access account paying the interest rate applicable at that time.
If you are eligible, interest can be paid gross on registration of an R85 HM Revenue & Customs form.
