The Yorkshire Building Society Investment Planning Bond (issue 25)

A combination of a Yorkshire Building Society Savings Bond and a Legal & General Investment Bond. This product is only available through the Investment Planning Service, where you will receive investment advice from a Legal & General Consultant.

Legal & General Investment Bond
  • Offers the potential for growth over the medium to long term.
  • Be prepared to invest for at least 5 years, ideally longer.
  • A choice of investment bonds with access to a range of funds with different aims. Your Consultant will help you choose the best fund for you.
  • Minimum investment £5,000.
  • At least 50% of your total investment in the Investment Planning Bond must be placed in the L&G Investment Bond.
  • The capital in the Investment Bond is not guaranteed and the value and income could go down or up. You may get back less than you invest.
  • Investment bonds are diversified investments that include shares, fixed interest securities, UK commercial property and cash.
  • For more details, ask a Legal & General consultant for the Key Features.

Yorkshire Building Society Savings Bond (One Year Tiered Rate)
  • Only available when you invest in a Legal & General Investment Bond after advice from a Legal & General Consultant.
  • The rates applying to the YBS Savings Bond are fixed until 30/06/2009. View the current interest rates.
  • On the 1 July 2009 these rates will no longer apply. The balance of your investment will be transferred to a standard YBS instant access account paying the interest rate applicable at that time.
  • Monthly interest option available.
  • We will write to you just before 30 June 2009 to confirm the new interest rate on your account.
  • Minimum investment £1,000.
  • Withdrawal/early closure restrictions apply.
  • Available from 01/04/2008 until 30/06/2008.

*AER stands for Annual Equivalent Rate and shows what the interest rate would be if interest was paid and added each year. This will enable you to compare more easily the return you can expect from your savings over time. The AER quoted assumes investment on 30/06/08.

Interest will be paid on 30/06/09. Monthly interest option available. Gross means interest before the deduction of income tax, currently 20%.

Yorkshire Building Society introduces its customers to Legal & General for the purposes of advising on and arranging life assurance and investment products bearing Legal & General's name.
