Search tips

Tips for better results:

• Be specific - use words that are likely to be found only in the pages you are looking for.
  
• Spelling - make sure to use the correct spelling.
  
• Case - try and use the correct case (uppercase for capitalised names, lowercase for common words and phrases). A lowercase word search will match words in any case, an uppercase word search will try and find and exact case match. For example, the word mortgage will find matches for Mortgage, mortgage and MORTGAGE, whereas a query for MortgaGE will only match MortgaGE.
  
• Speech marks " " - using speech marks, for example "savings account", will restrict your search to look for exact matches for this phrase only. Single matches of either savings or account will not be returned.
  
• Using (+,-) - you can also use plus or minus signs (+,-), to help widen or restrict your search. Using a minus (-) between words, for example savings -account, will return any pages where savings exists without the word account. By using a plus (+) between words, you will only be returned pages where both savings and account exist together.
  
• Or - there is no need to use an 'or' in your search. For example, a search for mutual organisation will return any page containing either mutual or organisation or both words together.
