Transferring & Making Payments

This is where you add money to your account, set up or delete accounts that you can transfer money to and make transfers to other accounts.

• There is a £5,000 per day transaction limit for external transfers, unless
• The transfer account was nominated when the account was opened, OR
• The transfer account was nominated more than 30 days ago.

Manage transfer accounts

You can have up to 15 transfer accounts (i.e. accounts that you can transfer money in to) :

• Up to 3 YBS accounts
• Up to 12 external accounts

Manage your transfer accounts using the following options.

Add	Allows you to add a new transfer account (up to the maximum allowed). Note: Your new account will appear in the account list but you cannot make any transfers to it until the following day.
Remove	Allows you to delete destination transfer accounts you have previously set up. Note: The account will be removed from the account list but will not be deleted from our systems until the following day.

 

Regular internal transfers

You can set up and manage regular transfers between YBS savings accounts. There are some restrictions, however, in the interests of security. These are:

• Regular transfers to a YBS mortgage account are not allowed to prevent inadvertently triggering early repayment charges.
• You cannot set up or amend any transfers that are due within 3 days.

Create	Set up a new regular transfer..
Amend	Change a regular transfer you have previously set up.
Cancel	Stop or delete an existing regular transfer here (subject to the retrictions above).

 

Standing orders

You can review and manage your current standing order payments, as well as setting up new ones.

Create	Set up a new standing order. Note: A new standing order will appear in the list immediately but will only be updated on our systems overnight.
Amend	Change an existing standing order. Note: Any changes will appear immediately but will be updated on our systems overnight.
Cancel	Delete an existing standing order. Note: The deleted standing order will be removed from the list immediately but will deleted from our systems overnight.

Note: You cannot create, amend or delete a new standing order within 3 days of its payment date.

 

Make a transfer

Use this option to make a one-off transfer to one of your transfer accounts, or to a new destination account. However, you cannot set up or amend any transfers that are due within 3 days.

 

Make a deposit

This option is for you to transfer money into your account using a debit card.

Note: The transfer takes 2 days to be processed through the banking system. Interest starts to be earned when we receive the money.
