Yorkshire Building Society are proud to supply ASDA who were awarded the top prize for it’s sharesave scheme at ProShare’s 2004 ceremony for Most Effective Communication of a Sharesave Plan for a Non FTSE® 100 company with over 10,000 employees.
"Clear as a bell" said it all, in the words of the judges, when it came to ASDA’s communication approach.
Yorkshire Building Society ran a series of regional focus groups with ASDA employees, to discover what colleagues wanted from their Sharesave documentation. The end product was the Sharesave invitation being age-targeted, aimed at three groups (16-30, 30-45, 45+).
In addition, this was supported by an extensive range of marketing material, which concentrated on achieving high take-up. Overall the judges felt that the promotion of Sharesave, showed ASDA to be "fully employee focussed".
We haven’t stopped there, 2005 has been another exciting year with new initiatives introduced to maintain the employee’s interest in Sharesave "with a twist"!
