Without external shareholders to pay dividends to, we can afford to give better rates to our savers. This gives us the advantage of being able to consistently pay a higher rate of interest than the rest of the market.

As we don't have external shareholders to satisfy, every penny we earn is given back to our members in better products, paying for the service we provide or is re-invested to build a stronger society for the future.
