Iain Cornish BSc - Chief Executive

Iain Cornish was appointed Chief Executive and a director on 1 July 2003 and is a member of the Nominations and Risk Committees and a Trustee of the Pension Scheme. He is an economist and started his career in government departments as well as in the private sector. Iain began his career at the Yorkshire in 1992 as Corporate Development Manager. Prior to being appointed Chief Executive, Iain was a General Manager responsible for marketing and product development. He is a director of the Society’s subsidiaries, Accord Mortgages Limited, Yorkshire Key Services Limited, and Yorkshire Investment Services Limited. Iain is also Chairman of the Building Societies Association, which represents the building society sector at a national level, and a member of the Financial Services Practitioner Panel.

Ian Bullock BSc, FIA - Sales and Marketing Director

Ian Bullock is a qualified actuary and joined the Society in February 2003 as Head of Insurance and Financial Services, soon acquiring responsibility for other functions. He was promoted to the General Management team in July 2004 and was appointed as a director in May 2007. Ian now has the responsibility for all product development, marketing and the Society's distribution network, including the branch and agency network and online business. He is also chairman of the Society's intermediary lending subsidiary, Accord Mortgages Ltd.

Andy Caton BA - Corporate Development Director

Andy Caton joined the Society in 1991 as an economist and was appointed to the General Management team in 1998. On 1 July 2004, he was appointed Corporate Development Director and is responsible for the Groups Treasury activities, Corporate Business and Corporate Affairs. He is a director of Yorkshire Guernsey Limited, the Group’s offshore deposit taking subsidiary, Yorkshire Investment Services Limited and Yorksafe Insurance Company Limited.

Andrew Gosling FCA - Finance Director

Andrew Gosling joined the Society as Finance Director in 2001. Prior to that he was a partner in the professional services firm, Ernst & Young, where he was in charge of its financial services practice in the North of England and also led the firm’s Building Societies Group. Andrew is responsible for the Group’s Finance, Audit, Facilities, Legal and Secretarial functions. He is Chairman of Yorksafe Insurance Company Limited, the Society’s captive insurance subsidiary based in Guernsey, and Yorkshire Investment Services Limited. He is also a director of Yorkshire Guernsey Limited

Robin Churchouse MA, ACA - General Manager Risk and Planning

Robin Churchouse joined the Society in July 2004 as Head of Finance. He was promoted to the General Management team on 1 June 2006 and is now responsible for the Group's Risk and Compliance, and Corporate Planning functions. Before joining the Yorkshire, Robin gained experience across a number of financial services organisations, including roles in finance, risk, planning and strategy, management consultancy, corporate finance and prudential regulation.

Rachel Court BA - General Manager Human Resources and Customer Service

Rachel Court was appointed to the General Management team on 1 February 2006, and is responsible for the Human Resources as well as all aspects of service quality. Having joined the Society in 1991, Rachel has gained a broad experience across the Group starting in mortgage administration and investment services. She was then appointed Sales Director of Accord Mortgages Limited before becoming the Product Development Manager for the Society’s mortgage range. Rachel is Chairman of Yorkshire Guernsey Limited, the Groups off-shore deposit-taking subsidiary.

David Henderson BSc - Chief Information Officer

David Henderson joined the Society in August 2007 as Chief Information Officer, having responsibility for the Group’s IT and business programme delivery functions. He is also chairman of the subsidiary Yorkshire Key Services Ltd, which provides distinctive IT systems and solutions to other building societies. David has a background of working in the personal finance industry having started his career in the building society sector. Prior to joining the Yorkshire, he was head of IT for a number of the retail business divisions at HBOS plc.
