Working together to provide a great new service for you

MutualPlus gives you a wider choice as we have extended our transaction services into places where we have no existing branches. With MutualPlus you can pay your mortgage and make withdrawals and deposits in any Britannia Building Society branch, on the following YBS savings accounts:

Paying money in

MutualPlus logoMutualPlus enables you to pay money in by:

  • Cash deposits (coinage maximum £10)
  • Cheque deposits (any cheques paid in the Britannia Building Society are subject to our cheque clearing policy)
  • Money Orders
  • Postal Orders
  • Sterling traveller's cheques
  • Bankers drafts
  • Re-credit of cheque withdrawals (drawn on either institution)

You can make your mortgage payments by cash or cheque.

To pay money into your account at a Britannia branch:

  • All you need is your account passbook or account number
  • Cheques, money orders, postal orders or bankers drafts should be made payable to Britannia Building Society plus your name

Taking money out

You can take money out of your account (subject to account terms and conditions and the balance available in the account) by:

  • Cash withdrawals up to a maximum of £250 per day
  • Cheque withdrawals up to a maximum of £10,000 - made payable to you, the account holder(s), or to a third party

To take money out of your account at a Britannia branch you will need

  • Your passbook
    AND
  • An additional piece of ID with your signature such as your passport, driving licence or credit card
