We operate a number of subsidiary companies which include Yorkshire Guernsey, Yorkshire Key Services and Accord Mortgages.

Yorkshire Guernsey

Yorkshire Guernsey is our wholly owned offshore subsidiary, based in the Channel Islands.

Following the conclusion of a strategic review, our parent, Yorkshire Building Society, has decided to wind-down YGL’s operation as we are no longer able to serve our original role within the Yorkshire Group. This decision, which was taken after very careful consideration, is due to recent changes to the regulatory treatment of offshore deposit-taking subsidiaries.

However, please be assured that YGL continues to be a safe and secure home for your savings, which remain fully supported by Yorkshire Building Society throughout this period.

Yorkshire Key Services

Yorkshire Key Services (YKS) is a subsidiary created in 2002 to sell Yorkshire Building Society's market leading systems to other financial institutions.

YKS aims to provide the best service in class systems solutions for the Building Society market, at an affordable cost. It is offering these systems as a branded product called LIBRA. The key benefits of LIBRA are:

• LIBRA is an established system developed and used by a major building society which offers a wide range of functionality delivered in an up to date, user friendly technology environment.
• The pricing of the service is based on a 'subscription' model providing a high degree of certainty on future costs and with little or no requirement for up front investment.
• The solution is continually updated to reflect new regulatory and market requirements.

Since its launch YKS has acquired a number of major clients.

Accord Mortgages

Accord Mortgages is our intermediary-only mortgage lender, launched in 2003, offering mortgage products via financial advisers.

Accord prides itself on working closely with intermediaries to establish their needs and tailoring its products, processes and service. This approach has been recognised with numerous industry awards for technology and service.

The mortgage industry has seen many changes over the years since Accord's launch and Accord has responded by changing its business and product offering appropriately. What remains unchanged is the company's dedication to excellent working relationships with intermediaries and adviser firms.
