Job Title: Mortgage Adviser
Location:  Chalfont St Peter
Salary:  Starting salary in a role is determined by the skills and experience that you can contribute. The salary range for this role is £14,952 - £17,301. Plus £2001 AMA Allowance, £1,941 London Weighting Allowance, second in command supplement and branch bonus scheme.
Hours of work:  35 hours per week working between 9.00am Monday to 12.00pm on Saturday. You will be required to work 39 Saturdays per calendar year.

Purpose of role:

To achieve individual and branch objectives for all mortgage business and cross sales in accordance with Society Sales Policy.

Professional Qualifications or Essential Experience Required: Proven sales track record. Full CeMap qualification or equivalent must be held / attained within the time scales of the Sales Development Policy. Successful completion of Mortgage Adviser Development Plan.

Responsibility For Staff:

None.

Accountabilities:

  • To carry out mortgage meetings in line with regulatory requirements and selling the full range of mortgages and mortgage related products against branch and individual target achieving agreed sales objectives.
  • Complete and follow up on all sales leads and enquiries to generate new business.
  • To exceed customer expectations by following Society’s Retail Standards.
  • To ensure all mortgage interview file notes, records and logs are fully completed for sales and compliance purposes. To maintain accurate customer information.
  • To record direct new mortgage business on the system and monitor the process through to completion, maintaining high standards of administration and customer service.
  • To assist prospective and existing customers through the mortgage and house buying process and advise as required at all stages through the life of the mortgage.
  • To maintain competence as an Authorised Mortgage Adviser under the Society’s Sales Development scheme and to keep up to date with developments in the industry in order to meet CeMap and Continuous Professional Development requirements.
  • To deputise for the manager in their absence for short periods (if applicable).
  • To cover any other roles within the branch, where necessary, to ensure customer service is maintained.
