Get involved
We have an extensive programme of member engagement and we want you to have your say through the most convenient method - making it as easy as possible for you to get involved.
If you receive an email questionnaire, or a survey online when using our website, please let us have your thoughts. Feedback from customers in 2009 was vital when we redesigned the online savings application process.
When you ring our call centre, give us your feedback. We've introduced a system to collect immediate feedback from randomly selected customers. This helps us improve processes and the performance of our customer representatives.
There are lots of ways for you to get involved, including the Member Panel. In 2009 the panel of over 10,000 members were asked for their feedback on our Responsible Business Practices, the 2009 AGM pack and the new telephony service that was introduced last year.
In 2009 we continued to invite thousands of members to Member Question Time meetings, including a meeting in Barnsley specifically for Barnsley Building Society customers, to help answer any queries they had following the merger with the Yorkshire. We will be holding further meetings in 2010, providing you with the opportunity to meet and question Iain Cornish, Chief Executive, and the local branch teams.
If you are interested in joining the Member Forum or Member Panel, or if you would like to be notified about any Member Question Time meetings to be be held in your area, please call the AGM Helpline number quoted on the Chairman's letter.
