What will you pass on to the kids in your life?

Passing on life skills is a vital part of bringing up children. We know that parents and grandparents have a wealth of knowledge to share with their kids, but sometimes they need a little help teaching money management and saving.

We’re committed to offering real help with real life and we know it’s getting tougher for the next generation with things like rising house prices and university fees. So we’ve created helpful guides to support you to have money chats with them, because you can never start too early...

Some skills we teach more easily than others. From simple things like tying shoelaces to doing the weekly shop, there’s plenty that we pass on every day. But when it comes to money, it can be hard to know what to encourage beyond ‘saving up’ for things, or making sure they’ve got enough money for their next day out. We know it gets a lot more complicated than that, what about budgeting for a whole month, salaries and tax or understanding pensions?

Visit Money Minds

99% of young people attending told us they enjoyed the lesson and 87% said they felt more confident about the topic covered afterwards. We’re not done yet. We will be running Money Minds in over 50 of our branches during October half term alone! Find out if there’s one near you.
