We recommend that you use Safari or Google Chrome, you can set these as your default browser in your device's settings. If you don't have either of these browsers they can be downloaded via the App Store or Google Play.
If you can't see the YBS app in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, it will usually be because the phone or device that you are looking for the app with, does not meet minimum requirements to run the YBS app.
If the YBS app is not compatible with your phone or another device, Play Store or Apple Store may hide them from view.
Our app is compatible with:
- Apple - Any device running iOS 14 upwards. You can quickly check which version of iOS (the Apple operating system) your device is running by going to your settings - go to General > About and then look for Software Version.

Your device has been 'jailbroken' (Apple) or 'rooted' (Android) - where your device is modified by someone to allow the installation of unauthorised software

Your account balances will normally be correct unless any funds haven’t cleared into your account.
For more information on money transfers please see our payment guidance.
There are regular maintenance and updates to our services each night during the early hours of the morning. During this time, of anything up to an hour, you may not be able to login to your account through the app or online.
Just try again later.
You can only withdraw money from your account that still allows for the minimum balance for your account to stay open.
For example, if you have an account which has a total balance of £2000 and has a minimum balance of £1000 to stay open; you will only be able to withdraw £1000.
To withdraw your total balance, you would have to close the account and may incur a loss of interest, dependent on your savings product terms and conditions.
