  3. We’ll send you an SMS text with a code to confirm it’s you.

  4. Enter the code and you’re ready to use the app.

Our app FAQs

To log in, you’ll need a YBS savings account registered to let you manage it online. If you’re not registered, please register here .

Once you’re registered online, open the YBS app. Enter your customer number and date of birth. We will then send you a secure SMS text with a verification code to check it’s you.

Once you’re set up, you can choose how to log in next time. Log in quickly with your choice of security passcode or biometrics (such as fingerprint or facial recognition).
 

The YBS app is free to download from both the UK Google Play Store and App Store. To download the app your phone must have either:

  • An iOS 15 operating system or later
  • An Android 9 operating system or later.

If you type your passcode incorrectly 3 times, you will need to set up your app again. It will ask you for your customer number and date of birth as it did the first time you set it up.

Yes, you can use both the YBS app and online services to access your savings account, whichever is most convenient at the time.

No, currently you can only use the YBS app on one device at a time.

Nobody can log into your YBS app without your online banking details. But if you think someone might have accessed your account please call us on 0345 120 0805.

If you change your phone or tablet or uninstall the app, you will need to set up the YBS app again, as you did when you first used it.
