The YBS Share Dealing service has been withdrawn and is not available to new customers

 

What does this mean for existing users of the service?

From 1 May 2021 the YBS Share Dealing service has been taken over by Jarvis Investment Management Ltd, who previously provided the service on our behalf.

The good news for existing users is that, while the Society will no longer have any association with the service, there will be no change as far as you’re concerned to:

  • Who provides the service to you – this is still Jarvis
  • Your Share Dealing account number
  • Your terms and conditions
  • Your dealing rates and account charges
  • How you trade

Trading

If you have online access to your Share Dealing account, rather than log in via the Yorkshire Building Society website, you will now need to go direct to Jarvis where you will find a log in point for customers of the former YBS Share Dealing service. There are no changes to your current log in details.

To place a trade by telephone, you should continue to call Jarvis on the same number – 01892 700801 (trading hours are Monday to Friday 8am – 4.30pm, excluding Bank Holidays) – and quote your existing account number and password.
PLEASE REMEMBER THAT STOCKS AND SHARES AND ANY INCOME DERIVED FROM THEM CAN RISE AND FALL IN VALUE. YOU MAY NOT GET BACK THE FULL AMOUNT OF YOUR INVESTMENT. IF IN DOUBT PLEASE CONSULT AN INDEPENDENT FINANCIAL ADVISER.
