How to register Court of Protection

2. Apply at a branch or by post

Take the Court Appointee form to your local branch. A member of staff will help you.

What happens next?

We will let you know in writing when the registration is complete. You may need to provide proof of identity. We will get in touch to ask for this.

Register for online access
You may be able to register the account for online access. 

If you need help, call 0345 1200 805. Calls to 03 numbers are charged at the same rate as 01 or 02 numbers from all phones.

Opening an account in branch
Follow our normal process, using the main beneficial owner's details. We will need to see the original and sealed Court of Protection document.

If you need a copy of the document, we can make one in a branch. We do not accept photocopies or certified copies from outside of the society.

More than one deputy

Each deputy will also need to complete a court appointee form.
