The YBS named first time buyers' champion for the second time
Thousands of consumers voted to crown Yorkshire Building Society the best choice for first-time buyer mortgages at the 2017 Moneyfacts Consumer Awards.
The UK’s second largest mutual was presented with the award for First-Time Mortgage Buyers’ Choice for the second year running at the annual event designed to highlight those providers who offer the best service and value across the financial industry.
Award winners are chosen based on feedback conducted by the Consumer Moneyfacts independent annual survey, which involves over 118,000 consumers.
Nick Lawler, Director at Moneyfacts, said:
The award is based on the provision of technically superior products and excellent consumer feedback from the Moneyfacts Consumer independent annual survey. The Group’s consistently competitive range of mortgage deals, especially at the high LTV product level, has seen it retain its crown.
Charles Mungroo, Mortgage Product Manager at Yorkshire Building Society, said:
As a mutual building society we are dedicated to helping first-time buyers realise the life-changing aspiration of owning their first home. We are delighted and proud to have been recognised by Moneyfacts customers as the First-Time Mortgage Buyers’ Choice as we continue to support those striving to get onto the property ladder.
The Moneyfacts Consumer Survey was conducted from October to November 2016.
