The Moneynet Personal Finance Awards 2017 recognise the top personal finance providers and products from the past 12 months. Judges identified products with the best rates and fees, whilst also taking note of product features and innovative ways of giving the customer an all-round good deal.
James Farrow, Senior Mortgage Product Manager at the Yorkshire Building Society Group, said:
I am delighted that both the Yorkshire and N&P have been recognised in the Moneynet Awards, and particularly that N&P has been acknowledged as the best fixed rate mortgage provider for a third consecutive time.
We believe each award demonstrates our ongoing commitment to provide long-term value for money across all of our mortgages and help customers on all stages of the property ladder to buy the home they want. The mortgage market continues to be very competitive but we remain at the forefront.
Andrew Hagger Independent Personal Finance commentator and chair of the Moneynet Awards judging panel said:
Yorkshire Building Society and Norwich & Peterborough Building Society once again dominated the mortgage award categories in the 2017 Moneynet Personal Finance Awards.
Whether a customer was seeking an Offset Mortgage, First Time Buyer option or a competitive fixed rate for a home move or remortgage YBS and N&P were rarely out of the best buys during the last year.
The judges commented:
Whilst the pricing has been ultra-competitive over the last 12 months these two mutuals also offer customers an impressive range of product options and websites that are clear and easy to navigate.
