Yorkshire Building Society best for dealing with power of attorney

Yorkshire Building Society has been recognised for the quality service it offers people registering a power of attorney.
A survey of more than 2,000 consumers by Which? highlighted the mutual as the best financial services provider for dealing with customers who have been given legal authority to make financial, health or welfare decisions for someone else.
According to the research, 85% of respondents who had used a power of attorney in the last three years rated the Yorkshire as ‘good’ when registering the legal document.
The findings from the Which? report come on the back of a number of changes the Yorkshire has made in recent years to make life easier and simpler for customers with power of attorney, during what can be a very distressing time.
The Society has created a team dedicated to dealing with power of attorney registrations, effectively creating a one-stop shop for registering the legal document and reducing the amount of times a customer may need to explain their situation.
The mortgage and savings provider has also simplified its policies, improved administrative processes for colleagues dealing with power of attorneys and reviewed the way it communicates with customers.
