Yorkshire Building Society has been named a winner of a 2018 Lotus Award for Workplace Culture.
The Lotus Awards celebrate companies across the globe for positively nurturing employee engagement. The awards are given to businesses who invest in their culture, regardless of size, sector or geography.
Previous workplace culture award winners include Barclays, Ocado, Virgin Trains and Marriott Hotels.
Tracey Newton, Director of People Performance at Yorkshire Building Society, said:
Workplace culture is fundamentally important to the success of any business. At Yorkshire Building Society we know that we already have a positive cultural foundation and we want to continue to evolve to be the kind of workplace where every colleague can contribute their unique talents fully.
We have had a positive feedback from our colleagues following our investment in key areas that we know are important to them such as wellbeing, recognition, flexible working policies and diversity and inclusion.
This award is a demonstration of how our investment is getting noticed outside of the Society and is fantastic recognition for the hard work and dedication of teams across the organisation that are working together make Yorkshire Building Society a unique employer of choice.
