Yorkshire Building Society has been crowned High Street Provider of the Year for both mortgages and savings for the second year running, after consumers voted in their hundreds of thousands at the 2024 Moneyfacts Consumer Awards.

The Bradford-based mutual took the top awards in the two categories at the annual event, held in London, which aims to give the UK’s millions of customers a voice and a chance to reflect how they feel about the range of financial products available to them.

Award winners were chosen based on honest customer feedback from almost 250,000 consumers.

The Yorkshire was also highly commended in the Remortgage Buyers’ Choice awards categories.

Chris Irwin, director of savings at Yorkshire Building Society, said: “We’ve supported generations of people and millions of members to save for important moments in life and buy their homes for more than 150 years – these two awards demonstrate we continue to do that, successfully.

“We’re proud our mortgage and savings products, which represent good, long-term value, and our friendly and high-quality service has been recognised by so many customers as the best on the high street.”

James Brooks, website editor at Moneyfactscompare.co.uk said: "Every year, we see hundreds of thousands of consumers have their say on the organisations they trust with their household, family and personal finances.

“The Moneyfacts Consumer Awards recognise the banks, building societies, insurers and financial service providers that are the absolute best in their respective categories. We congratulate all the winners and those that have been commended and highly commended and thank the 250,000 consumers that shared their honest and personal views with us about the best brands for customer service during the last 12 months.”
