We have continued our annual celebration of Pride, holding and attending various events throughout the country.
To celebrate Peterborough holding its first annual pride event in June, a carnival was held for colleagues in our Lynch Wood office. The purpose of the Carnival was to bring Lynch Wood together, build relationships and promote decency and fairness for all while shouting out that YBSG supports the LGBT+ community and their allies.
One colleague said “We had a fantastic turn out for the carnival and it’s a good job we’d arranged plenty of welcome drinks – they soon went as the sun had its hat on!”
All colleagues were encouraged to dress in rainbow colours for the carnival, and we ran a competition for best dressed which was judged by our Chief Executive, Mike Regnier. He crowned Mark Creighton the deserved winner and his brilliant outfit can be seen in the picture below!
It was another hugely successful event organised by the Group’s Agents of Change, who have been instrumental in promoting Diversity and Inclusion at YBSG. The day also included the opening of Lynch Wood’s new prayer and relaxation room – a tranquil place accessible to all.
This is one of many activities which have been organised this year as we continue to drive change in the Group.
