What to do when you're having trouble logging in
We’re making login quicker and easier!
In the coming weeks you’ll notice that our login pages have a new look and we’re also reducing the number of steps you need to complete when accessing your account. Find out more.
How do I get my customer number?
- For a new online savings account, we'll send your 10-digit customer number by post (this is not your account number).
- For a new mortgage application (Approval in Principle) you will have been given your 10-digit customer number during the online application process.
- If you opened your account in branch or over the phone, you need to register to manage your account online. You should be able to set up a username during registration and you can use this when logging into the website. Please note in some scenarios, we need to send your customer number by post.
How do I log-in?
To log-in, visit ybs.co.uk and click 'Login' in the top right corner.
You’ll be asked for your customer number or username, date of birth, and 3 characters from the password you created (either when you applied, or when you registered for online services).
After you've logged-in, you can set up a Username if you don’t already have one. You can then use this in place of your Customer Number in future.
What if I've forgotten my username or don't have a customer number?
If you've lost or forgotten your customer number, or can't remember the username you created, please get in touch. Please have your account number to hand when you call.
What if I've forgotten my password?
You can reset it online - you'll find the Forgotten Password link on the login page.
