You should read this document carefully so that you understand what you are buying, and then keep it safe for future reference.

The Product Terms (91 KB) should be read with the General Terms and Conditions (600 KB) . Together, the Product Terms and General Terms explain how your account works.

It is important that you read all the terms applicable before you decide whether to open this account. Terms 11 & 14 of the General Terms explain the circumstances in which we may change the interest rates, terms and conditions and charges relating to your account, and how we will tell you about the changes. Section 2 of the General Terms also sets out additional terms for Cash ISA savers.

Before you apply

Please read the Product Terms (91 KB) together with our General Terms and Conditions (600 KB) and the FSCS Information Sheet (193 KB) before you apply.

Please also refer to our Fees & charges (56 KB) leaflet for details of any charges on our savings accounts.

When you apply for an online account with us, we’ll need to verify your identity and address. For details, check our verifying your identity page.

Please note that for security reasons, online withdrawals are not available for the first 14 days after your account has been opened.

    ISA Transfer

    Transfer an existing ISA to an e-ISA - Issue 3

    1. First complete an Internal ISA Product Transfer Application Form (131 KB) and send together with your account passbook/certificate (if applicable) to:

      Savings Service - Product Transfer
      Yorkshire Building Society
      Yorkshire House
      Yorkshire Drive
      BD5 8LJ

    2. Please allow up to 5 working days for us to process your application once it has been received. We will then write to you to confirm your existing ISA has been transferred to our e-ISA - Issue 3
    3. If you don’t already use our online services, you’ll need to register to manage your e-ISA - Issue 3 account online

    Transfer an ISA with another provider to an e-ISA - Issue 3

    1. Complete an online application
    2. Select the option to transfer your existing cash ISA
    3. Please allow up to 15 days for your current provider to send your funds by cheque. Once we’ve received the cheque, we’ll write to you to confirm the funds have been added your new e-ISA - Issue 3 account
