Verifying your identity online

To get your account set up as soon as possible, we'll ask you to upload documents.

We’ll send you an email with a link to HooYu.

This is the only time we'll ask for personal information via email.

Complete the verification to get started with your account. This is what we’ll ask for:

One form of photo ID listed below:
Signed UK or Foreign Passport.
EU or UK Full or Provisional Driving Licence.
Residence permit issued by the Home Office to EU nationals.
Foreign National Identity Card.
A short live video using your mobile phone or webcam. This is to compare with your photo ID.
We may also ask for proof of address. You can use:
UK utility bill from the last 3 months. This doesn’t include mobile phone bills.
Council tax bill from the last 12 months.
UK bank, building society or credit card statement from the last 3 months.
Current Post Office re-direction letter.
Letter from HMRC including tax credit or statement (not P45 or P60) from the last 12 months.
Letter from Department for Work and Pension (DWP) including Pension Service or local authority confirming right to benefits, from the last 12 months.
Signed full or provisional UK/EU driving license (you can use this for proof of address or ID, but not both).

Check the documents you use match the information in your application. If you don't have your documents with you, you can choose to do this later.
